Location

  •  LOCATION
  • Slovenia is a very green and mountainous country with over half of its terrain covered in woodland.
  • Bovec is a charming and picturesque village nestling below the Julian Alps in the heart of the stunningly beautiful Soca Valley. An alpine centre within Slovenia’s famous Triglav National Park, it offers a wide variety of tourist activities throughout the year and has numerous sports agencies for those that like outdoor pursuits.
  • A high panoramic mountain road runs from Bovec, through the stunning Trenta Valley across Vrsic Pass at 1611m, to Kranjska Gora. The terrain is steep and the views over the Triglav National Park are stunningly beautiful.
  • Bovec is located in the north west of Slovenia, 10km from the Italian border, 40km from the Austrian border, 50 minutes drive from Kranjska Gora, 90 minutes drive from Lake Bled.
  • Direct flights serviced by Ryanair, Easyjet and Adria Airlines (2 hours flying time)

    - Trieste (Italy): 90 minutes drive

  • Suited for rental all year round.
  • Fantastic views across to the National Park from the apartment.
  • The National Park contains most of the countries share of the Julian Alps with many peaks rising to above 2500m.
  • The climate in Slovenia varies dependant on distance from the sea. Summers are warmer and sunnier than the UK, whilst the winters are substantially colder!
  • In winter, skiing is the popular pastime in Bovec. Kanin ski resort is situated 2km from Bovec village centre, and is the highest ski resort in Slovenia extending above 2000m.
  • In late spring you can ride the Soca river as the thawing snow turns the crystal clear streams into white water rapids or search for alpine flowers on the slopes.
  • In summer, it is a great place for hiking, biking or mountain climbing with 100kms of trails to explore. The gondolas continue to run and will take you to a
restaurant, with an outstanding view 2200m above sea level.
  • Autumn is short and spectacular. The forests are set afire with colour, a sight second only to the New England fall.
